Stencils for marking the remaining blocks in "Morning After the Storm"
As you'll remember, I was rather bummed about my progress in trying continuous curve quilting around the straight lines in "Morning After the Storm." Instead, I decided on some nice organic seashell shapes. I did rubbings of two shells off the cover of an ancient seashell coffee table book, and designed the third myself. I decided that carving my own design would take forever. Instead, I carved into X-Ray film the other two shells, making crude stencils (see above). As I seem to have better luck machine-quilting curving designs, maybe this solves the problem.
Have a very fine weekend, everyone!
